Welcome to the "Bridging Best Practices" conference
6-9 March, 2003 in Rome, Italy

The international Conference Bridging Best Practices is a joint initiative promoted by the ECOLE-network and the European Schools Project.

Teachers and headmasters are invited to take part in this four-day event which aims at interconnecting the best practices in Computer Supported Collaborative Learning on multiple areas. (subjects)

The conference focuses on:

  • design, planning and evaluation of computer supported collaborative learning projects;
  • teachers' professional development in internationalisation, project-based learning and teaching, and ICT-usage;
  • exploration of electronic learning environments and advanced ICT-tools for collaborative learning and teaching.

The event Bridging Best Practices will be an opportunity to...

  • ... debate and discuss with peers relevant issues in the field of teacher training,
  • ... familiarise oneself with best practices and projects based on Collaborative Learning and Educational use of ICT,
  • ... take part in workshops for the implementation/follow-up of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning projects,
  • ... find partners for the development of collaborative projects,
  • ... attend presentations which contextualize and give a deep insight into both the technical and human challenges these practices entail,
  • ... share experiences and exchange views with partners from other countries,
  • ... get acquainted with the latest developments in the field of interactive resources for teachers involved in CSCL projects,
    ...

Be part of this learning community of teachers, join us during these four days and let’s start building the bridges that will enable all and each of us to develop and interconnect the best practices in Computer Supported Collaborative Learning.
